Back in the Mission this time in my old stomping grounds. This is the place I would come to shop to get my snacks and drinks and other loose ends on 18th and Mission street for years. Today Duc Loi International Supermarket is still open ( somehow some places online says it's closed) and it has a variety of items available. Although, I did not see the Banh Mi available , Duc Loi International Market still offers lots of fresh produce , chicken, meats, and seafood. There are aisles of drinks ( there is a current temporary alcohol sales ban here) like natural juices . This is a good alternative and convenient place for anyone shopping for groceries in this area. Lots of food imported items for different parts of Asia and Latin America like cheese ,drinks, noodles, sauces ,and snacks. Duc Loi is an International Supermarket Market to shop for drinks and foods that are Asian and Hispanic You can find groceries of all kinds available here including foods which are organic

They stock some very hard to find items, and ingredients, that are essential for cooking many types of SE Asian food. The staff is friendly, and they keep the place clean, and tidy, which you rarely see see in markets such as these.

I usually drop maybe if I counted around 3 out of 15 days. At first I was not impressed but I usually do end up buying stuff inside. I enjoy the place because I can get some BBQ's meat / and Ice Cream a coca cola lol. Well at least I am able to stay full for half the day lol. I will list 2 pros no cons: Place is near by me I am in the Inner Ric. District so I always ride the buses and it is always a 20 minute commute. If u don't need to drive don't drive ur wasting Money on Gas/ Tires/ Fuels and Insurance/ Alignment. If I need to drive around I use 2 mopeds or scooter because it is convenient also it is play around the throttle. The Cops don't care if u drive a stupid a moped or scooter. All u do wee wee around the streets. Avoid the stupid Muni Inspectors if u can it will save u lots of troubles because when I dropped by I usually pass by the SFMTA :/ the terrors. Finally read the part: The place accepts EBT! Yes u should apply for EBT and welfare if needed because 100,000 salaries and below is now low income.

It's sad to see this place close down after this weekend! It's the only somewhat sizable supermarket in the area that has a decent selection of grocery items and household goods. It's even got a banh mi shop inside that sells filling sandwiches for $9!

Great supermarket in the heart of the mission! While I was a little wary at first, the prices on the meat and produce here are often cheaper than Safeway and decent quality! There's also free parking available in the basement. The staff there provide great service and I highly recommend

Cute local supermarket - quite reasonable prices, maybe a dollar more than like Target. Friendly staff that greet you when you enter and quite a variety of different items, though Safeway or something. Also has a banh mi counter for $8 decent sized banh mi's though not much sitting area

This market has a little bit of everything, including the biggest malted milk balls you've ever seen (double chocolate and chocolate peanut butter). Asian foods and snacks, Latin American items, organic and bulk foods, and so much more that I didn't get a chance to see.

I like coming to Duc Loi for my basic and no so basic Asian grocery needs. I can usually find most ingredients needed for my cooking. Although some times the produce is not the best, there's other near by Mexican groceries to get them at. On my recent trip they had bean sprouts that expired 2 days prior but also had some with a later expiration date. They just need to do a little bit of quality control. Zucchinis looked shriveled too and fruit selection was limited. I'm glad I can come here for some fresh herbs that is sometimes harder to find such as dill and culantro. The staffs here are all helpful. I'm pretty impressed with some of the selection. Their freezer section is pretty good too, you can find dumplings, egg roll wrappers, meat balls, etc... just take a look. For the meat section tho I'd go elsewhere. They also have banh mi's however they aren't my favorite here in the city.
